Writer/Director
Carlos Ibarra is a Toronto-based filmmaker and founder of Fill in the Blanks Productions who honed his craft through "boots-on-the-ground" industry experience and a lifelong passion for cinema. A self-taught creator with a leadership style rooted in clarity and empathy, he specializes in genre-driven projects, including festival-circuit shorts like Duck and Cover and The Lone Exorcist, that blend dark comedy and horror to explore themes of identity and control.
Beyond the director’s chair, Carlos reaches a global audience as the co-host of the top-rated podcast Macabre...ish Cults, Classics & Horrors, where he leverages his industry connections and deep genre expertise to build ambitious, thoughtful projects for a dedicated horror community.
